In a Wednesday presentation, the Commerce Rotary Club learned about the needs of this vital community resource.

Mike Odom and rotarian Carolyn Trezevant shared a growing concern that the Commerce Public Library may soon need to seek alternative funds to those that have generally been provided by the municipality. The building, while stable and compliant, is in dire need of cosmetic help, and ought to be an inviting place for community members to connect with the outside world and to learn about literally any subject.

A public awareness event is scheduled for May 17th, 2012 at 7pm inside City Hall in Commerce.

More information is available at the Commerce Public Library website.
